Already halfway through July, already thinking about back-to-school prep (and all the lovely stationery sales this time of year), and already OVER this heat. How about y'all? My now 5-month-old baby (how did that happen???) has discovered our cat and is highly entertained by his playful antics. As for Rune, he's not so sure about this tiny human who keeps shrieking and giggling at him.

✨Once Upon A Curse News✨The draft of Book One is finally DONE!!! It is with my alpha reader now (BTW, I am taking applications for alpha readers, because only having one can be very limiting sometimes 😅 If you're interested, reply to this email!). You guys, I am THRILLED! This book has been ongoing behind the scenes for literal years. I will go ahead and forewarn you all that my pace on this series most likely won't be as fast as it was for Aeromancy Academy. I was able to put out the entire main series of 4 books, plus 2 novellas, in the space of a year. BUT. That series had been marinating for almost two years while I was a ghostwriter working on a different academy series. I had already thought through all the books, had already drafted Book 2 by the time I released Book 1, and the inspiration kept coming because I had found a groove with it. Also, I didn't have a baby in the house 😅 This particular series has been STUBBORN, y'all. It's been through about 8 billion iterations, none of which have been satisfying until now. And to this day, as I write this, I do not have a draft for Book 2. I have random plot meanderings in a Scrivener file that look promising, but the plot is STILL being stubborn about coming together. Some series just come together like magic. Some take me a decade or more (SIRENSSSSS!!!). I just want you all to know that before this new series starts releasing. I may very well start a second series while this one is ongoing, because I just need the friction of two different projects going on at the same time to get anything done, it seems 😂 Be on the lookout for a release date announcement VERY soon, as well as a cover reveal on my Instagram (and here on the blog, too!)
